What is Andar Bahar?

Andar Bahar is a traditional Indian card game that is popular in many parts of the country, especially in the southern regions. It’s a simple yet engaging game played with a standard deck of 52 cards. Here’s how it typically works:

Setup: A standard deck of cards is used, and the game is usually played with a single deck.

Objective: The objective of Andar Bahar is to correctly guess on which side (Andar – Inside or Bahar – Outside) of a designated spot a selected card will appear.

Gameplay:
A dealer is chosen, typically by any random method such as drawing cards or tossing a coin.
The dealer shuffles the deck and places one card face-up in the center, which is the middle card.
Players then bet on which side (Andar or Bahar) they think a card of the same rank as the middle card will appear.
The dealer then deals cards alternately to the left (Andar) and right (Bahar) of the middle card, starting from the middle and continuing until a card of the same rank as the middle card appears.
The game continues until a card of the same rank as the middle card is dealt, and the side (Andar or Bahar) on which the matching card appears determines the winner.

Winning: If the matching card appears on the same side where the middle card was dealt, players who bet on that side win.

Variations: Andar Bahar may have variations in rules depending on regional customs or house rules. Sometimes, there are additional betting options or side bets available.
